Megs cancer battle

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jacqueline and I am starting up this donation on behalf of my beautiful little sister Megan.

Thursday the 18th of May 2023 will forever be remembered as the worst day of our lives. It was the day it was confirmed that our beautiful Megan at 25 years old has stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes and her lung. We are all absolutely heart broken and there are no words to describe the fear, confusion and complete devastation we all feel for our Megan at this hard time. A time that she and her fiance were getting ready to move into their newly built house in busselton that they have been waiting 2 years to be ready, a time that they had just gotten engaged and were so excited to plan their wedding, a time where my sister was thinking of soon enough starting her own family, a time that should have been nothing but joy and happiness for her and has all been stripped away by this terrible monster we call cancer. Having to sit there and be told she needs to think of harvesting her eggs, that she will go through aggresive treatments for at least 12 months (if not the rest of her life) that she will lose her hair and be very ill amongst numerous other things just feels like such a cruelty and so unfair. Although my family and I are all crumbling around her, Megan is remaining strong and positive. She is laughing and being her usual amazing selfless self - it is a true credit to how bloody strong my sister is, she is a diamond in this world and deserves only the best. There are going to be finanical worries now that she is unable to work for a long period of time whilst receiving treatment and as we all know, inflation at the moment is ridiculous, it is hard for everyone. Megan and her fiance Henri have been solely paying their mortgage whilst their house has been built (the build has taken longer than expected) and have had no oppurtunity to save for emergencies, never thinking this diagnosis would knock on their door. All we want is for Megan to have the best life, however long she may get and not worry about anything financial. We want her to be stress free to give her the best chance at recovery and to be able to do whatever she wants in life that makes her happy and brings her joy. Megan was misdiagnosed twice and also wants to bring awareness to young women to always get a 2nd opinion, to always trust your gut and to always check your breasts. Just because you are young, doesnt mean it can't happen to you, our Megan is proof of that. Megan would never want any other young woman to go through this and neither would our whole family. Life is precious and truely short, live your life to the fullest, tell your family you love them - as much as you can and most importantly take your health seriously, it is everything. Thank you to all who can donate and help Megan out, we would like to thank you all personally and we are truely grateful. Anyone else going through this battle, we are with you, we feel your pain and we wish you nothing but the best. Love the Lynch and Davis family x
