Polterock to World Championships

Austin Polterock, a 17 year old professional wakeskater from Sanger, CA needs your help. Austin has been competing in the WWA professional division of wakeskate since he was 14 years old. He has been blessed with clothing sponsors (Cire, Elevated, Bloodstream), an equipment sponsor (Obscura/Liquid Force) and an entry fee sponsor (Ecto Marine) but he is virtually unknown to major sponsors as he has never before made it to the podium. Sunday August 16, 2015 he placed 2nd at the WWA National Championships in Miami, Florida and qualified for the World Championships which will be held Sept. 16-19, 2015 in
Ferreira do Zezere, Portugal. The competitors who he stood with on the podium have big sponsors who will help them with entry fees, airfare, lodging, car rental, boats, food, etc. Austin was a mere 6 points away from 1st place at Nationals and based on his progression we feel he could podium again and get the attraction of major sponsors at the World Championships. It is a huge opportunity for him. His hard work year round really is showing! He spent the summer working as a lifeguard to earn money for boat gas and trips to the Delta to train with other pro riders. The travel expenses are costly and Worlds was not in the budget for our family this year. Several friends have mentioned a "Go Fund Me" account for this trip for Austin and it is really hard to say no to a kid that has worked so hard when this method of fundraising is available to him. We feel sending him to Worlds could help secure more sponsors for next year and this wakeskate addiction of his could possibly pay for itself (and Mom and Dad can focus on his college plans)! Any financial help to send Austin Polterock to the Professional Wakeskate WWA World Championships in Portugal would be much appreciated! Thank you so much for helping make Austin's dream a reality.
