Dear friend in need of help updated June 27, 2019
Donation protected
I know we are trying to raise a substantial amount of money but any size donation at all will be a big help in reaching the goal. I was really hoping that more people would step up and help him. So maybe we can try this. If people would donate just ten dollars, or what ever you can afford and then send the link to ten people and ask them to donate 10 dollars or what ever you feel you can afford and send it to another ten people and ask them to do the same maybe we can make this a true crowd funding effort!
I am starting this go fund me for a good friend of mine. Greg Iantosca. Greg has cancer. He was diagnosed in early May with squamous cell carcinoma in his left lung. As some of you know Greg lost his wife in 2006 to cancer. He has been raising his three kids, Nicole, now 20 and Jake and Samantha, now 18 by himself since then. Greg has been struggling financially for several years now.He is currently unemployed, and his small savings are completely drained. He is due to start chemotherapy the first week of June. The doctors are hopeful that after 4 to 6 treatments over 12 to 18 weeks that the tumor will then be small enough to make him eligible for surgery to remove the tumor. So, as you can see he has a long road ahead of him.
So as of today, June 27 Greg has had 2 treatments, the second was Thursday, June 27 . After the first treatment he felt pretty bad for about 2 weeks, then he started feeling better as the second treatment approached. He is on a 3 week cycle. His white blood cell count is lower then the doctors want so he has to go back tomorrow and receive a shot of Neulasta, This should bring his white blood cell back up in a couple weeks, and he will continue to get them the day after every treatment.
Thank You!
