Casino Employees Against Smoking (harmful) Effects

Hi my name is Vanessa Baker I have worked in New England Casinos for three decades. I have health problems I do not deserve due to working in a smoking environment.

Christy Newman St. Clair and I created C.E.A.S.E RI to rally employees and our guests to stop the abuse and assault on our civil right to breathe fresh air under the Rhode Island Original Workplace Safety Act of 2004. Employees are advocating for a Rhode Island Bill to repeal the exemption for RI Casino smoking. 2021-2022 CEASE had the majority of senators and representatives; however, HB7855 did not make it to the house chambers for a vote.

Legislative Session 2022-2023 CEASE needs to supply employees and guests attending committee hearings, chamber discussions, and rallies transportation, t-shirts, posters, banners etc.
