As many people know the sweetest little girl in the world Cecelia has been through something a child should never have to go through. In the fall of 2020 Cecelia started to have pain in her hip to the point of not being able to walk. Her mom Brittany and dad Sean were told by doctors that she had Lyme disease. Everyone was heart broken for her but knew she is a very tough girl and could do everything she needed to be better. Cecelia did physical therapy for months to be able to walk normal again. The doctors soon discovered that Cecelia in fact did not actually have Lyme disease. So now what could it be? Different tests were done to discover that she has Perthes disease, a disorder of the hip. Skip ahead a little and Cecelia was able to play sports with her friends and be herself again (with a little bit of restriction) All summer long. But These past two weeks she started to complain about pain again. Brittany had to bring her to the ER on Monday. After being there for a few hours the doctors thought it would be best to take an ambulance to Boston children’s hospital. She has had to be put under to take samples of the fluid build up in her hip. Now Sean and Brittany have been back and fourth from North Berwick to Boston this whole week. They got news that Cecelia will need to be in a full Petrie cast. Which is a cast that two long-leg cast with a bar that holds the legs spread apart in a position similar to the letter “A.” She will now have to be in this cast for at least 6 weeks and a year at night after. There will need to be a lot do changes to their everyday lives. I am making this go fund me in hopes we can raise money for this family to be able to focus on getting Cecelia everything they will need for her recovery. I know this family has touched many hearts. Anything would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all so much for taking the time to read and support this family!
