Cedar Annenkovna Art and Freedom Fund

After serving over 5 years in prison for a wrongful conviction, Cedar Annenkovna was suddenly released by the Supreme Court a few weeks ago with only 30 minutes' notice. While incarcerated, she became a mentor and GED instructor, earned an associates degree, got involved in legislation, had her art and writing published and exhibited nationally and internationally, and became an advocate for prison abolition.
Cedar is now free to pursue her dreams and aspirations as an artist, poet, and activist, but she is starting from ground zero, rebuilding her life after having lost everything during the time she was wrongfully imprisoned. She has ambition, a clear sense of purpose, and mural projects on the horizon, and with our support she can invest in transportation (she has a chance to purchase an older Triumph in great condition), airbrushing equipment and art supplies, clothes and other essentials, and travel money for gas, food and lodging so she can visit the people she loves and travel to the places where job opportunities await her arrival.
Anything and everything will help (including commissions!) and Cedar is committed to paying love forward in the spirit of generosity and compassion.
