Dear LEGS Members and friends,

I am asking you to help me support an amazing young female athlete and entrepreneur.  This is more than helping her reach her LPGA goals, but making an investment in her as she sets out to change the world.

Hannah Berman started playing tournament golf when she was nine years old.  When she was 12 years old, she started giving back to our community through her love of golf.  She started "Hitting it with Hannah" in 2010 to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and has since raised more than $75,000 for local charities.

As a junior golfer, Hannah was recognized nationally with the USGA/AJGA Presidents’ Leadership Award, as well as being named a JAGA Scholar and an FSGA Scholar.  As three-time MVP and two-year captain of the Ponte Vedra High School ladies golf team, she helped lead the team to three State Championship tournaments.  At JU, she helped the team to its highest-ever NCAA ranking and made three podium appearances.  She was recognized by her peers with the JU Brady Award for Leadership by a Student-Athlete.  She graduated this past April with a 3.6 GPA and her BA in Political Science.

Hannah has represented the United States on the medal-winning women’s golf team at the 2017 World Maccabiah Games, and she has played in the US Women’s Amateur Championship, the US Women’s Amateur Fourball Championship and the British Ladies Amateur Championship, as well as being the runner up at the 2019 Southern Women’s Amateur Championship.  She turned professional as the 245th ranked amateur in the world.

Here is the amazing part of Hannah’s story:  She accomplished all of this while fighting ADHD and Extreme Anxiety Disoorder (and a lot of doubters!).  While she's focused on succeeding inside the ropes, she wants to immediately help people outside the ropes by being the role model for young girls and women proving that they, too, can reach their dreams.

In the meantime, mounting a campaign as a professional female golfer is a particularly expensive venture.  There simply aren't that many playing opportunities and even at the top of the developmental world (Symetra Tour), pay checks are slim and scarce.   Entire Symetra Tour purses are smaller than last place finishes in a men's event, and these girls have to pay their own entry fees, travel, meals, gas money, rent, coaching and equipment.

So while she can't wait to write big checks to charities like Child  Cancer Fund and the American Association of Depression & Anxiety, I am personally asking LEGS to help her get to the LPGA.

Hannah is LEGS: she is a strong, creative and directed young woman rising to her industry's top level by working hard, learning from her successes and failures, and counting on the mentorship of others.   Playing a women's developmental tour golf is the cubicle to where she's heading - like all of us, the C-suite.

And she's an entrepreneur, like us, starting a business like any other with COGS, overhead and maybe a few angel investors.  We want to help get her on the way to success, knowing that our investment will pay off when she gets there.  She'll mentor others, give to charities and help when called upon - as she has shown her entire life.

In the meantime, she'll donate 20% of whatever we raise to Jacksonville's Child Cancer Fund as a down payment on that dream.

Our goal is $10,000 - to cover about 10% of her costs over the next 18 months - through LPGA Q School 2021.  We can follow her, root for her and help ease her anxiety knowing she's got the LEGS team on Team Hannah.

Plus, she's coming to our LEGS events to help us get better at golf!

Thank you for helping to support this amazing young LEGS member!
