My name is Jasmine, but I go by J. I am a Black, Non-binary activist (climate change, feminism, housing, etc.) who has been forced out of New York city after being furloughed from my job on March 13th, rent striking on the fourth and getting evicted. My housemate, Cozmuh is a Latinx non-binary artist not making a living wage. I have come back to Atlanta because most of my family is here and the rent is cheaper. Since returning, my housemate and I have received racist, queerphobic and classist abuse, causing us to search for housing and stability in even more of a flurry. Cozmuh and I have had to resort to crowdfunding as they do not make a living wage and I am still searching for employment. In addition to this, my unemployment benefits are currently being held. We need funds for Coz's car repairs, a new tag, utility bills, a computer, basic house supplies/furniture and more. We are so grateful to be given this opportunity and we appreciate everyone who gives and/or shares.
