Celebrate 50 years of Hotwells & Cliftonwood Community Assoc
During 2024 Hotwells & Cliftonwood Community Association is celebrating 50 years of supporting residents, groups and local businesses to enjoy the area. We've done this through all sorts of activities including arts trails, performance events, gardens, parks & open spaces, outdoor cinema, festivals, street parties and much much more.
With so many people involved over the years we want to recognise what a vibrant community we live in by creating some events that everyone can enjoy.
The Big Golden Birthday Picnic, our first event, is on June 22nd 2-6pm at the Cumberland Piazza between Hotwell Road and Cumberland Basin Road.
Why donate?
We are an unfunded charity with small core team who are happy to give time to organise events, but we'd love to welcome everyone and have some fun, free events that the whole community can access. A little bit of funding would enable us to:
- Provide food and drinks
- Pay expenses for musicians and performers
- Hire places we can gather
- Pay some of our amazing local artists to create murals telling community stories for the past 50 years
In September we're organising an exhibition with photos and film of all the events we've run since 1974.
A winter shindig, talks, tea parties and other sociability are in the planning stages.
