Celebrate Aderike Coker's Legacy with Us

In loving memory of Aderike Coker

As we have all been able to come together in our profound loss of our beloved Aderike we need to honor her in a way that is suitable for a Queen…because that’s who she was. It has been an honor to have so many of our former coworkers come back together to plan a celebration for Aderike Coker and I thank each and everyone of you for your time and effort for this beautiful woman that we all loved.

Please join us to celebrate Aderike on Friday October 25th at 5pm at Futurecare Cherrywood. Located at 12020 Reisterstown, MD 21136.

She was a pilar of unit three, a friend, a sister, and most importantly the best coworker you could ever ask for. It didn’t matter what unit, shift, or job if you needed help she was always there (even if she complained) she never left anyone behind.

As her primary GNA I was beyond blessed to know her like a sister and mentor. We had our moments of frustration with what each of us thought was best for our patients but never once did I think she didn’t take my opinion into consideration. She was the best nurse I’ve ever worked with and I’ll forever be grateful for her guidance and education. To this day I still look for her when I get to work to get report and plan our day. Ricky was my best friend and I have been lost without her. I know she is watching me and making sure I continue the steadfast commitment to each and every one of “her” patients like she was still here.

Ricky as a friend and siser , since I have known her LOVE for us have never deferred . She will take her time on her days off to cook food and bring in various bowls for us at work . Morning and evening shift . The day we don’t have something to eat she ordered food for us to eat . She stands out as the Big sister of Cherrywood . She knows each persons taste of gifts during birthdays and Christmas . her gifts are always the best . She is kind, supportive person both manually and financially.

Please help me honor her with a donation to the Aderike Coker foundation. I would also like to share with you that for every dollar we make the owner of FutureCare~Gary Atman has promised he will match it dollar for dollar. This will allow us to not only honor Aderike Coker with a proper memorial service that she most definitely deserves but also to make a Aderike Coker continuing nursing education benefit scholarship to encourage our Cherrywood community to strive to be like her and continue her mission to serve the elderly population that is often overlooked and underrepresented. Aderike believed that as a team we could conquer the impossible and make families whole again by taking the initiative to rehabilitate and educate in order to get their loved ones back home ❤️

Gone but not forgotten as she will live in our hearts and minds forever.
