Celebrate Annemae and get her home to rest.

Hello, my name is Emma and I am fundraising for a much loved colleague Annemae to return home to her family.

After recovering from a year of cancer treatment and returning to work in April for just 3 weeks Annemae’s cancer was found to have advanced and very sadly she died on the 5th July 2023.

Annemae has worked within the NHS for years and in most recent years her role within maternity at West Herts made a difference to staff and families alike.

Annemae always had a smile on her face, always positive, always kind, friendly, happy to help anyone and was the most fabulous member of our team.

Annemae thought she was on the road to recovery and so had no plans in place for funeral expenses.

Her family would like to give her a service here in the UK and then take her ashes back to the Philippines to be with her family. We would very much like to help the family take Annemae home. We are hoping the funds from this fundraiser can help achieve that return journey.

We are asking colleagues (present and past) and friends to donate to this collection run by managers at West Hertfordshire Hospital to be able to give the family funds to give Annemae the service she deserves, to enable others to have a chance to say goodbye and for Annemae to go home to rest.
