Celebrate Cat's Life: Donate to Equality Florida

Cat (Cathleen, Cathy, Aunt Catfish, intercat, Echolalia, relucant) has been many things to many people. Her story covers the face of the earth, and so do the lives of the people she has affected.

A lot of those people have asked what they can do, and since medical bills and funeral expenses are going to be covered, we thought the best thing people could do for Cat is to honor her memory by donating to a cause she cared about. Cat was unabashedly a queer woman and had many queer and trans people that she loved and considered family (hi!) both by blood and by choice.

She also loved the ocean, and she particularly loved the Atlantic in Florida - calling it “her ocean” (which was very Lettie Hempstock of her). So I can’t think of a better charity than Equality Florida, which is dedicated to defending the rights of LGBTQIA+ people in Florida so that they can safely enjoy the ocean she loved so much.
