Celebrate Gwilym Protheroe's Life: Support His Cremation

Donation protected
Gwilym Robert Protheroe's legacy of love, strength, and humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. As a father, grandfather, and mentor, he gave so much of himself to others, and now, in his passing, we have the opportunity to honor him in the way he truly deserves.
In the spirit of Gwilym’s generous heart, we are reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who was touched by his kindness. We are raising funds to help cover the costs of his cremation, allowing us to give him the peaceful send-off he so deeply deserves. Just as he took care of us throughout his life, we hope to come together in this moment to take care of him one last time.
Your support means the world to us as we work to honor the incredible man Gwilym was. Thank you for being a part of this celebration of his life and legacy.

Gwilym Robert Protheroe was the kind of man whose heart seemed to have room for everyone. Born on Christmas Day, he was affectionately known as "Santa Claus" by his family, not just because of his birthdate, but because he embodied the spirit of giving all year round. He raised four children with the kind of love and dedication that only a father as selfless as him could give, but his generosity extended beyond his immediate family. Over the years, he nurtured and cared for three generations of children, becoming a father figure to many who needed one.
Gwilym had a knack for being sarcastic in a way that was never harsh but always left people laughing, lightening up even the most serious of situations. His humor was a shield, protecting those he loved from the harshness of the world. Behind that sarcasm was a man of immense strength, both emotional and physical. He served proudly in the Navy for several years, showing the same commitment to his country that he later showed to his family and community.
To his family, Gwilym was the rock they could always rely on, whether it was advice, a helping hand, or just a good laugh. Even in the toughest of times, he never wavered. His strength was the glue that held everyone together, and his home was always a place of warmth and welcome for friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. He never turned away from someone who needed help, whether that meant fixing a broken fence, offering a ride, or just sitting down to listen.
Christmases were extra special with Gwilym around. While many knew him as Santa Claus, to his family, he was more than that—a guiding light, a protector, and a man who knew how to make every moment magical. His love was the gift he gave every day, and that love continues to live on in the generations he helped raise and the lives he touched.
