Mabel Aguilar, Presente!!!!
Friends, we grieve the passing of a phenomenal woman, who left us too soon, but it is time to open our hearts and celebrate and honor her contributions to our Latino Community in San Francisco.
We want you to celebrate Mabel by contributing to a fund in her honor.
The fund will assist her daughters to meet medical and funeral financial obligations. We ask you to give as much as you can, and we know that your contribution will go a long way to help with the large amount of debt owed. Please give generously.
Mabel Aguilar will never be forgotten by all the thousands of Latino mothers and families she touched with her good counsel, her commitment to provide meaningful resources housing, financial assistance, food and freedom from violence.
She will also be remembered by those who worked with her in developing services to our community, worked under her supervision to make those programs accessible to families, worked with her on coalitions, and all others whom her actions touched them in a meaningful way. She was a solid rock who helped build La Raza Community Resource Center programs and services. She was a strong advocate for unions and workers on her prior work at the Mission Hiring Hall.
Mabel Aguilar, Presente,
Mabel Aguilar.
A loving mother to her daughters Andrea and Gabriela. A fierce warrior for what was right and just, a committed community worker, a deep thinker, and creator of needed programs, will forever stay in our hearts.
We also ask you to leave a comment for Andrea and Gabriela on the comment section of the GoFundMe of how you knew Mabel and her impact of her relationship on you.

Here are my reflections on the passing of my dear Mabel:
I was heartbroken to hear of Mabel's passing. She was someone who I loved and admired for her passionate dedication to our community's most marginalized.
I first began working with her at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic when I, as a City and County of San Francisco official, collaborated closely with community leaders to keep community members worst hit by the economic and health impacts of the pandemic in their homes. Mabel's leadership and bold advocacy for our most marginalized community members helped to ensure that the City's eviction prevention and housing stabilization programs were low-barrier and reached those who needed our help the most.
She worked tirelessly and selflessly during an unprecedented time in service of community. We provided each other with moral support through the many twists and turns.
I will strive to honor her legacy of service to our most marginalized community members.
I will miss her and never forget her.

On behalf of my Sister Gabriela and I, thank you all for your love, support & respect for my Mom's life long commitment to helping others. No words will EVER live up to describe how truly irreplaceable she is. At the end of the day, she is our Mom, the most supportive, loving and nurturing human being. We are truly honored to be her daughters. She now lives on in our hearts forever.
WE LOVE YOU MOM! REST IN POWER!
