Recently my good friend and sister Marie Michaelle Saintil was diagnosed with a debilitating illness that has left her permanently unable to work. Michaelle is only 41 years old, and hopefully has many years of life ahead of her.
Living is expensive when things are going smooth, nevermind with the reality of added unlimited medical expenses on a small fixed income. So in order to allow Michaelle to concentrate on getting well and managing her health, we are trying to help her with her living expenses and medical bills that may not be covered by her insurance.
The amount may seem like a lot but, not so much if you consider that Michaelle has 4,995 followers on her FB page... if each one of her followers gave $10 , our goal can easily be reached.
So I reach out to see how caring and connected people really are on social media. There are an abundance of comments, likes, emojis and support for people who you don't know... let's see if you can respond so passionately to someone who really IS a friend.
