Celebrate of Life Service - Derrick Lanning

Good Morning Friends, This is Pastor Doug from the ROC Recovery Center and after speaking with Samantha this morning regarding the passing of her brother Derrick who we all have known for years, I felt I needed to reach out and ask for help. Therefore, we are establishing a GoFundMe account to cover the cost of the funeral expenses along with airfare to have a portion of the family fly home for the services. In speaking with Samantha (Derrick's Sister) the need is great and I informed her that I am confident that our community will come together to help get them home to Medford for Derrick's Celebration of Life Services.

Did you know that the term "one another' written in God's Word over 100 times and approximately 59 of those occurrences are specific commands teaching us how and how not to relate to one another. In Galatians 6:2 we read, "Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ." The word "burden" comes from the Greek word which means "a weight of personal and eternal significance." This means we are encouraged to "bear" or to "come alongside someone who is struggling and help shoulder the weight of the trial."

I know that financially times are tough currently but I also know that our God can and will supply all our needs, if we ask. So, I am asking on behalf of the family that you consider giving to this need. If you are unable to give, then please either way hold up the family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
