With heavy hearts, we share the news that Osaze Akerejah entered eternal rest on December 4, 2024, in Brooklyn, New York. Osaze was a bright light and a gifted musician who performed as Butterfly Haus. His profound artistry touched countless lives. Alongside his music, he was a teacher and clinical worker who used the arts as a tool for healing, connection, and fostering a deeper understanding of the human experience.

Osaze's journey was marked by a considerable amount of courage as he battled Clear Cell Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Despite the challenges he faced, Osaze approached his life with gratitude and grace, continuing to impact those around him through his musical gifts and love for his community.

We are raising funds to celebrate Osaze’s life and legacy. Your contributions will help:

Cover end of life funeral and memorial service costs.
Organize a tribute event for loved ones, friends, and community members to honor the beautiful and profound gifts Osaze shared with the world.
