Celebrate Shannon's Life: Support Odin
Donation protected
On October 12th, our brother Odin Thompson's mom Shannon Marie Tierney left her mortal vessel after a 7 year long battle with Vascular Dementia. Shannon, or Goat Mom, as she was fondly known to Odin's friends, passed at home after several days of visits from family and loved ones, including her childhood best friend - a friendship spanning over 60 years!
Odin has been caring full-time for his mom for the last three years, during which time she's lived at home with him. He has been caring for her for 7 years, making trips to her home in Port Townsend and to several memory care facilities. He has never left her side and selflessly devoted his entire life to ensuring she had the best care possible. As a result, his business Moribund Records, which he has run for over 30 years, took a hit as priorities had to shift for mom.
His friends are trying to help him recover the funds to cover mom's cremation, her celebration of life, and some expenses associated with the last days of her care.
We kindly ask anyone who is able to donate to please do so and share this fundraiser. Odin has done so much for so many people and we should come together to support him during this incredibly difficult time.
Shannon and Odin celebrating his college scholarship in White Center in 1989! Odin won on a 500 word essay with over 5,000 applicants, writing about how his mom bought him a KISS album when he was 7 and how that changed his life - he knew after that he wanted a career in the music biz! Who would have thought his mom would be such a force in Moribund history?!
