Celebrate Tammy's Life with Your Help

Thank you so very very much for supporting my fundraiser. I am still asking for donations so I can have a memorial birthday for Tammy. I plan on taking Tammy back to Montana this coming July 10, 2025. On her birthday. There will probably more than just 1 memorial since Tammy was such a sweet and caring little lady. She had friends wherever she lived. Hi. I am Mari Scott and I am raising funds for my beautiful, sweet daughter Tammy deMontigny. She was diagnosed with cancer 6 years ago. She went through MAJOR surgeries, eventually having her bladder, colon, uterus, vagina, rectum, ovaries... pretty much everything down there removed. She no longer had any of her privates. Through all of this, she remained cheerful and positive. Tammy referred to herself as having a Barbie Doll butt. One of her surgeries lasted 16 hours, which caused her to have a paralyzed right leg from the knee down. Still, Tammy remained uplifted and was her silly, goofy, loving self. A little over a year ago, her cancer came back. They couldn't do any more surgeries, and chemo was the only available treatment left.
Tammy went through 2 rounds of chemo, and then she wasn't able to do any more for different reasons. She ended up getting sick when it was time for another round. One time, she didn't get to go because she couldn't get down the 3 flights of stairs where we lived. She was SO motivated to make it to her appointment and managed to make it out to the stairs with her walker but only made it down 1 step. It broke her heart. She just sat on the steps crying. SO, we moved to another apartment on the 1st floor. We had one hold-up after another trying to get moved, and in the meantime, it was postponing any further chemo appointments because she couldn't get down those stupid stairs.
Finally, Tammy was able to make it to her appointment. That was on September 27th. Most of the next week, she felt lousy, hurting all over . Wednesday, the 2nd of October, she spiked a fever and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Tammy's fever went down and she was diagnosed with a UTI infection. I stayed with her for an extra 2 hours past visiting hours when they told me I had to go. Thursday, we spent the day visiting. Friday, I had a few errands to do in the morning. I called her, but she was sleeping, so I let her rest. I then left to get my stuff done so I could go back to visit, but my phone needed charging, so I left it home. First thing I did was check my phone and had a message from the doctor at the hospital telling me to call. That's when I got the bad, bad, bad... news that she was gone. I totally broke down. Crying, screaming, screaming, and crying.
Tammy was such a sweet, goofy, caring, lovable, awesome person. One of a kind.
SHE WAS MY HERO
I am trying to raise money for her funeral services. I have some money but not quite enough. So if you could find it in your heart ❤️ to help me, I will be eternally grateful
