In Celebration of Tom Berg's Life

Tom Berg (Thomas J. Berg) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his home on April 5, 2025 at the far too young age of 46. Tom was beloved to all who knew him.

Tom was part of the Minneapolis music community (some would say a bass legend) as a member of multiple bands over ~30 years, including Self-Evident, Zebulon Pike, and The Heed along with numerous other collaborations and contributions.

Tom was also a legend in the Minnesota beer community as an owner of Falling Knife Brewing Company, the creator of innumerable award winning home brews, and a member of the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild Board of Directors.

Needless to say, and as proven by the hundreds if not thousands of messages and tributes to Tom already, his presence and warmth brightened countless lives. So many have said a version of "to know Tom is to love him," and from the stories our family has read in the past few days, it is clear that HE loved everyone he met. Tom's tragic and sudden death has left family and friends deep in mourning.

Many have asked how they can help. Our family has been handed the cost of his funeral and memorial, along with expenses related to Tom's home and finances. Your contributions will help ease this financial burden and allow us to focus on planning an epic celebration of this legend's life.
