Celebrate Vinita Wilkins' Life and Legacy

Celebration of life for Vinita Elaine Bolton Wilkins:

Dear Family & Friends,

After a courageous battle with cancer, our beloved, ever-fashionable and God-fearing “Elaine” unexpectedly received her angel wings the morning of 8/8/24 in San Diego, CA.

While deeply saddened, we rejoice in knowing she left behind a legacy of unconditional love, strength and tradition that will continue to shine through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Not to mention, some of the best soul food recipes ever! To know her was to feel welcomed, fed and loved.

While she called San Diego home, her original place of birth, and where her heart truly lies, was in Memphis TN.

Memphis is where she was born and Memphis is where she’d want her final resting place to be. This is where her youngest son and Mommy rest.

Her five living children feel compelled to honor the wishes of such an amazing woman who sacrificed and gave unselfish unconditional love to so many. We would greatly appreciate any size donation for the transport of “Elaine” back to Memphis, funeral expenses and ensuring all of her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren from all over the country can attend her celebration of life.
