Celebrate Zachary Rogers' Life with Your Support
Donation protected
A beloved son, brother, husband, and genuine friend to so many, Zachary Yong Rogers, passed on November 4th, 2024. After being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma as a young man of 18, he fought hard and won, overcoming many battles inside and out. He went on to college, got married to the beautiful Yuka Sasada in 2013, and then graduated two years later from the University of Michigan with a degree in Naval Architecture. Raised in Kodiak, Alaska, he was on a mission to achieve his childhood dream of joining the U.S. Coast Guard. After working in Seattle and then moving across the country to Maryland in 2020, that dream finally became an exciting reality. Not long afterward, Zachary was suddenly diagnosed with Leukemia. There were many doctor appointments and hospital stays the last few years in his fight to beat cancer for the second time. He kept his head held high in positivity, serving everyone around him, cracking jokes, and sharing his love for good food. His whole family and close friends supported him immensely. We miss him dearly, but now that he can be finally free of illness, there is only love.
We would greatly appreciate the support to cover extra medical expenses, funeral costs, and final preparations. We plan to hold a Celebration of Life for Zachary tentatively on December 8th in Maryland, to send him off together. If you would like to share your special photos or stories with him, please click below to post on his Kudoboard.
We are incredibly thankful for all your support in this time. Thank you!
