Celebrating a Legacy “Farewell Joseph Wamah”
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate souls, it is with heavy hearts that we come together to celebrate the life and legacy of our dear friend, Joseph Michael Wamah.
On July 3rd 2023, a senseless act of violence claimed Joe's life in a devastating mass shooting that shook our community to its core. As we mourn the loss of this remarkable individual, we are compelled to honor his memory and extend our support to Joe’s grieving family during this unimaginable time of sorrow.
Joe, one of my best friends, was possibly the most heart warming, consistently positive, charismatic, selfless person you would be honored to let into your life. At anytime during the day, if he wasn’t doing for himself, he was doing for you. If he believed in you, in your vision, in your ability to believe in something, he wanted in. Not for profit but for the pure satisfaction of seeing someone he knew do something amazing, firmly believing his friends could achieve something seemingly out of reach! He was highly creative, incredibly loved, admired, and respected!
He was my brother, and family to many with whom he crossed paths. He was a pure spirit and innovative visionary who without a doubt left his mark on the people dearest to him. Joe, my friend first, then brother and now angel who watches over us, you will be missed.
In the wake of this tragedy, we have established this GoFundMe campaign to assist Joe's family with the financial burdens that inevitably follow such an unexpected loss. Funerals, memorial services, and other end-of-life expenses can place an overwhelming strain on a family already grappling with grief. By joining hands and pooling our resources, we can help alleviate some of the financial burdens they face and offer them the support they need during this difficult time.
In addition to the financial aspect, we want to use this opportunity to stand up against the senseless violence that stole Joe from us. Our hope is that this campaign will not only provide relief to the family but also raise awareness about the urgent need for stricter gun control legislation and increased mental health support. By uniting in Joe's memory, we can be a voice for change and contribute to creating a safer and more compassionate world.
We strongly urge those who had the pleasure of knowing Joe to share their personal stories, memories, or thoughts about our late friend. Without a doubt, your stories will be equivalent to a warm embrace to all those impacted by his tragic fate and provide the spiritual healing necessary for his soul to rest in peace.
Please consider making a donation, no matter how big or small, as every dollar will help bring comfort to Joe's grieving family and contribute to the fight against gun violence. Together, we can transform this tragedy into an opportunity for healing, unity, and positive change.
Thank you for your unwavering compassion, generosity, and for keeping the spirit of Joseph Michael Wamah alive. Let us honor his memory by standing together and showing the world that love will always triumph over hate.
The proceeds of this fund will be disbursed to the beneficiary, Terrance Harden, on behalf of the Wamah family. In addition, the funds will be used to secure a plot of land for Joe’s burial and any other funeral expenses associated.
With deepest gratitude,
Friends of Joe
