Celebrating and Honoring Walter Johnson

We’re all coming together to help the family of a neighborhood legend, Walter Johnson. Walt was an icon and Fairmount fixture that helped anyone and everyone in whatever way he could. Whether it was opening his wallet to a stranger in need, whipping up a “Walt Treat” from the kitchen or providing someone in need of some cheer with a chuckle or riddle, Walt was always there for us so let’s return the favor. Walt selflessly gave himself to the Green Room so let’s show some love and repay his family for giving us their “Popi” for all those years.❤️

Funeral services will be held at Dinan Funeral Home (1921-23 Spring Garden St, Philadelphia, PA 19130) on Sunday, March 13th. There will be a viewing from 10-1pm with a funeral service starting around 11:30am. Following the funeral, there will be a raucous Celebration at the Green Room from 1-3pm. There will be libations, Walt stories and re-enactments, tears, laughs and lots of raunchy music (namely Weinie Ride and The Booty Song with a little bit of Blake Shelton thrown in).
