Celebrating Emily Edwards

Donation protected
Emily Laura King Edwards was foremost a beloved mother, wife, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend who passed away on July 20th. She valued and exalted family & friends, nature, art, and community. Emily cared intensely for all people and animals, and especially the vulnerable. Emily fought for these values throughout her 35 years and over 7 years of fighting melanoma: cancer and its pain did not define Emily, but rather revealed her strength, beauty, grace, spirit, and love.

This fundraiser is to help make sure that Emily is celebrated as she deserves. Emily so often celebrated her family and friends first, and now is the time that we celebrate her and continue her fight. The funds will go to the ongoing celebrations of her life, both public and private: Emily wished that trees were planted in her honor in her community, and that sunscreen was widely available at schools and parks. The funds will also go to here desired causes, including: National Parks, Fish and Wildlife Service, ASPCA, adoption/foster care programs, and Jimmy Fund. Please contribute by the end of August.
