Celebrating Kash Bae

How could One describe Kash Bae, there are not enough words to describe this truly kind person, 2SLGBTIQ+ community leader, grounded in humanity and connection.
She had a big personality, joyful, an infectious sense of humor, she lit up the room with her presence. Kash Bae was always going above and beyond to help anyone in need. Willing to support regardless of how well she knew them, she would give all she had to anyone in need in spite of how much or little she had.
Kash Bae so caring, she could see the good in every person she came across. Always phone call away, she was passionate about the well-being of any(one) with a soft spot for marginalized persons. She was focused on justice and healing for those facing oppression; whether it was difficult or a small task. Transgender, queer or heterosexual she was a dedicated accomplice.
Kash worked as the Executive Director of Raricanow an organization that supports 2SLGBTIQ+ Newcomers and Refugees in Canada. As a Raricanow Society founding member she welcomed all with kindness and care to give hope and support to all members who walked through the door. She worked hard and tirelessly to make space for those who were chasing their dream of a full happy life after trauma.
A remarkable woman, Kash brought beauty and fashion everywhere. Gracing her community with her unique style, making fashion seem effortless, while appreciating the beauty in people she met.
Kash dream to create 2SLGBTIQ+ Refugee and Newcomer housing is a goal we wish to honor and create a scholarship in her name to continue her legacy.
The presence of a loving, passionate, caring, socially aware, engaged individual like Kash Bae, has been a bright light in the world, which will never be the same without her.
Given the limitations imposed by the Covid-19, this gofundme will aid in commemorating her life while also assisting her loving family in Kenya during these trying times.
Funds donated will help in the preparation of her life celebrations, the remaining will be transferred to her mother and family in Kenya.
Thank you to everyone who blessed and has been a blessing in Kash's life.
Kash you are love.
