Celebrating Kerry Pollock

We say goodbye to a wonderful man.
He was a loving Father, Husband, Brother, Grandpa, Barrel Baron, Whiskey fanatic, Dear friend, Animal Lover and avid Rough Rider Fan.
He was pure of heart with the most honest intentions. His children inherited his kind eyes, big heart, and his willingness to help anyone in need. If you called he’d drop what he’s doing and be there in a hurry (after he drops Marlene off at work of course). Lol
Kerry was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2018 and over a year ago he completed radiation and rang his bell.
Just recently, we found out that the cancer had come back with a vengeance when he injured his spine, and was hospitalized. He then started treatment again right away and was able to come home for a short while.
Sadly though, he was in and out of hospital dealing with the complications of the cancer and a Covid diagnosis combined.
He had fought a few battles along the way and unfortunately spent most of his time in the hospital alone. Due to restrictions, the hospital only allowed 2 support people to be with him, one at a time.
Because of this, there were many missed days of work to be by his side during this challenging journey.
As well, family members travelled across provinces to be here with him in his final days, and luckily they allowed most of us in at the very end, but it never seemed like it was enough time.
Despite everyone’s best efforts, he has lost the war, and has taken his place in heaven with the angels.
In his final hours, he was with loved ones when he left this world peacefully. Surrounded by his favourite items, like his ragged old tie die T-shirt, and playing classic rock and having his kids line dance to country music.
If anyone knows Kerry, you know that money was never much of a priority for him, because when his pockets were full he would treat anyone around to something nice (including hoodies and beers at the chuck wagon races).
As such, he has left this so called “burden” to the rest of us to take care of now. xoxo
We humbly and kindly reach out for some financial support during this difficult time, to cover the costs of what comes after the death of a loved one. We are forever grateful for any contributions toward our cause. We will also be hosting a celebration of life next month, any and all are welcome to attend.
Sincerely,
His 4 Children, 3 Step Children, all the in-laws, 6 Grandchildren, Wife & others.
xoxo
