Celebrating Layla's Loving Spirit and Legacy

Layla Justine Anaya was 23 years old, a dental assistant, a very beautiful loving woman with a bright smile, she had the biggest heart and always made sure whoever was around her was happy. Layla was diagnosed with leukemia 3 years ago. She underwent chemo therapy for a year, and after that year of fighting she went into remission. During this time she went back to school to become a dental hygienist, looking forward to starting a new chapter in her life. A year later her cancer came back and started receiving chemo therapy again. As well as doing a bone marrow transplant, after the transplant she started to experience a lot of adverse effects. Which caused a lot of discomfort for Layla and resulted in a much harder battle than expected. In the morning of September 20th she was transferred to the ICU where she was intubated because she was no longer able to breathe on her own. After the whole day of trying to stabilize her, Layla passed away at 10:05PM. Throughout her whole journey of battling cancer she never failed to keep a smile on her face and never failing to keep one on ours as well. We plan to put any donations towards making a beautiful service for our Layla. Layla is loved by so many and we thank all of you for any love and support during this hard time.
