In Loving Memory of Charles Richard Wallace
If you're from Bushwick and old enough, you might remember Charles Richard Wallace—fondly known as Rich, Richie, or even as the friendly face behind Richie's Candy Store, Moms and Rich, or the dedicated coach of the Bushwick Braves baseball team. Whether you knew him as Rich the Mets fan or simply as a cherished member of the community, you likely have your own stories to share.
Rich was a remarkable man who touched many lives. His kindness and generosity were well-known, and he helped countless people, earning him a reputation that many might even call heroic.
Rich passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, surrounded by love and care. As we honor his memory, his grandchildren are reaching out to the community for support with his farewell expenses, so that friends and family can come together to say their goodbyes and celebrate his life.
We humbly ask for your help, whether through a donation or by sharing this GoFundMe link within your networks. Your support will ensure Rich's legacy is honored in the way he deserves. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
