Celebrating Makenna' with Endeavour Ipswich Basketball Club
Donation protected
Hi - We are the family of Makenna' Williams.
Makenna' sadly passed away on 29th June 2022. She was kind, generous, empathetic, was an absolute delight to be around and had a lasting impact on everyone who met her. She had a tremendous passion for basketball. Since the age of 11 Makenna' belonged to the Ipswich Basketball family who not only enabled her to play but also provided support, and a nurturing environment, within which she thrived both as a player and a young person.
The support that we - Makenna's family - continue to receive from all members of the Endeavour Ipswich Basketball Club has been phenomenal - support from head coach Nick Drane and from individual coaches, players and their families. We are, and will always be so grateful for the Club and we want to continue to show our support for it too.
With this in mind, we have decided that we want to give back and raise funds for the club that took such great care of Makenna', the club that became her family, the club that has continued to support us as her family.
The annual Makenna' Williams Memorial Game is the perfect way for us to do this.
Endeavour Ipswich Basketball is holding the second annual Makenna' Williams Memorial Game on 25th July at Copleston Sports Centre, Ipswich and we would love to see as many people there as possible. The entry fee of £5 per person will also be added to this fundraising effort.
Last year over £5,000 was raised which enabled Endeavour Ipswich Basketball Club to provide invaluable mental health support and workshops for coaches, parents and players. This year we are determined to raise more!
There is no doubt that his club changes lives so please donate and help us to help Endeavour Ipswich Basketball Club give the chance to other children to benefit from all the club has to offer as Makenna' did.
All donations will go directly to the club which is absolutely what Makenna' would want.
Thank you
