Celebrating our Angel - Miguel Cisneros
An Angel has taken flight and our hearts will never be the same…
Miguel’s charismatic and infectious smile instantly draw you in, forcing the same upon even the grumpiest of faces. His engaging presence enveloped all who were fortunate to make his acquaintance. Whether he was entranced in fun times with family and friends, blazing through study sessions at DMSF, grinding at Rowing Regatta’s with Saint Ignatius College Prep, putting in work during summers caddying at Camp Sankaty in Nantucket, or sharing knowledge through tutoring encounters with the rising scholars at his former elementary school, John C. Burroughs; Maicky poured every bit of who he is, into all of us.
I am asking you to do the same now for our Cisneros family during our devastating time of bereavement.
On Sunday, August 22, 2021, my oldest heartbeat, Miguel “Maicky” Cisneros, was called home to be with his heavenly father in a tragic accidental drowning. The vibrant spirit who so many saw as a young man they might one day emulate, had his light eclipsed just days before he was set to depart for Columbia University, after waiting out the arduous pandemic to take streets of Manhattan by storm. This is a tragedy none of us could have envisioned and while I know his light will shine on for eternity within each of us, please graciously assist our Cisneros family in celebrating the beauty of my Maicky’s Homegoing.
“Yet, the lessons of love and kindness you taught me,
And the good things in life you’ve helped me see;
Linger as lasting gifts that comfort and will sustain,
Until I journey to that peaceful shore and see you again.”
