Celebrating Randy Jones
Donation protected
It’s with terrible sadness to have to announce my brother’s passing. Randy passed on 8/17/24. Randy leaves behind his wife Mariko, daughter Liana, mother Shirley, sister April, and many more family members. As a family we are putting together this fund raiser to raise money for his final arrangements and celebration of life. Any additional donations left over will be for his Wife and Daughter while they transition into their lives without Randy. Randy was 43 years old, a pilot, a world traveler, gardener, spoke 3 languages, was a musical prodigy, a fantastic chef, and even at times a seamstress! Please help us as a family provide a beautiful celebration of life for all to enjoy and that he would be proud of. As we have more time to plan, we will be announcing the information of the celebration of life, date, time, and location.
Please join the Facebook group below for updates on celebration of life, and a place to share memories and pictures. As a family we would love to see pictures you may have of Randy and memories you have made with him.
8/30 Update:
We are so thankful for all the donations that have been made so far! The plan is to have Randy’s Celebration of Life at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, either late September or early October. We’ve met with the museum and toured the rooms available and received quotes from the museum for the event. The go fund me still is short to be able to fully cover all the costs with the event. If you haven’t had a chance to donate please take a look at the go fund me, and please share with people that knew Randy, and also those who would like to attend. We’ve been blessed by one of Randy’s friends who has connections with the Museum of Flight, and they’ve come down considerably on the over all costs, however we’re still short, the overall costs we’re looking at come in at about the $6500 range. Maybe a little bit more after taxes and fees. We have a great start with our current donations, and I couldn’t be more thankful to all of you.
As his sister I want to be able to give Randy a beautiful celebration in a way that really represents him. His celebration will come with free admission to the Museum for all guests, food, and refreshments. Randy would have really loved to see everyone enjoying one of his most favorite places.
Thank you all so very much, please share the go fund me link, hopefully we can reach that full amount and really celebrate him in a way that is memorable for all who attend.
We have also secured the capabilities of live streaming the celebration, that’s really exciting!
