Celebrating the Life of Ed Cochran, Jr.
Please consider joining us in assisting Mr. Ed’s family with interning him in a manner fit for the sacrifices and services that he gave.
Edwin D Cochran, Jr. laid down his working tools in the early afternoon on the first of July 2021.
He was a husband to his beloved wife, Rita, for over 50 years and a father to his beautiful daughter Christina.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam war where he honorably served his county and fellow Americans as a Green Beret before traveling the world with his family teaching mountaineering in Germany and marksmanship at Quantico.
He settled down in Greenville, South Carolina and found another home in Taylor’s Lodge #345 where he served his lodge as Master, achieved his 32o through the Scottish Rite, before moving on to serve the Shrine and the Greenville Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
“Mr. Ed, like the horse,” as he would often introduce himself, left behind a legacy of countless lives touched, people loved, and selfless service to the communities, people, and country that he loved so dear. He will, often, be recalled as a man who was your ally before he knew your name.
