As many of you may know, on October 17th, the world lost an amazing and gentle soul when Shaun Michael "Mike" Popper passed away unexpectedly at the age of 33.
Mike always saw the best in everyone. He encouraged you to become the best version of yourself and urged you to push through your comfort zone. He was a selfless friend and confidant. His love of animals and travel were contagious. His fondest memories were studying abroad in Spain, his epic summer parties that he would host at his grandmas house every year and the countless 5k and half marathons that he was in. He had a passion for being outside, whether it be running on a trail, skiing or laying on his kayak on Ball Pond. Mike was always open to trying new things and made friends wherever he went. He created such a large network through the years, of people that truly loved and valued his friendship and authenticity. There will never be another person quite like him again.
His close friends, Kevin Puzycki and Jon Dator, along with his extended family find it important to bring everyone together and honor someone that everyone loved so dearly. We're asking for donations to offset the cost of a memorial gathering and for burial related expenses.
Help us to put Mike to rest and celebrate his life properly.
We are specifically collecting for the cremation, burial plot, engraving, and memorial service.
All funds collected during this gofundme campaign will be withdrawn into my account (Laura) and distributed to those who paid for each of the above costs in cash in person as soon as funds arrive. Hopefully prior to services. We were fortunate enough to have a large amount of donors and in the meantime family and friends paid out of pocket what they could for costs.
