Celebrating the Life of Our Friend Heather

We’re so sad to be creating this due to the unexpected loss of Heather Garrett. Heather passed away on February 7th 2023 from an undiagnosed medical condition.

If you knew Heather at all, you knew how important her family and animals were to her. 

Constantly sharing videos and pictures of her loved ones, it was clear to us that family was at the center of her life. Her mother Kathy, father Tom, step-mother Lourdes and two brothers Ian and Ryan were a part of daily conversations with her friends. Heather was a proud fur mama to her cats Stu, Fig and angel pup Oliver. Also a fur aunt to cats Emily, Penny, Binx and dog Hildy.

She had a special place in her heart for Nichole, Sebastian and Savannah White. She often gushed about Sebastian and Savannah’s accomplishments and was extremely proud of the individuals they grew to be. So many of her stories she would share were filled with love and laughter.

Heather spent the majority of her professional career working at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Best known throughout Adventureland & Liberty Square as the “Pirate Queen” Heather had an impact on all she met through work. Her love for people, her passion for training and her ability to build special connections with others made her truly one of a kind.

“If you ended up with best friends, crazy work stories, after hours outings, meet cutes, life lessons, core memories, or any other things Ad/Lib brought into your life, Heather helped set the stage for it. As long as we remember that, we’re keeping our own little piece of her legacy alive.”

Heather touched many of our lives and was a bright light for us all. She made sacrifices for her friends and loved ones without giving it a second thought. Her infectious laugh and positive energy brought light into any room she entered, and she had a way of making everyone feel appreciated and valued. Her loss is already deeply felt by her community.

We don’t have specific details about a Celebration of Life at this time but will continue updating as we have information to share.
