Celebrating the Life of Perry O. Vargas

On June 15, 2021 heaven gained a beautiful angel. Perry O. Vargas most known as “Grandpa Perry” left this earth around 7:30 p.m. He is survived by his two daughters, son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our family is grieving the loss of this wonderful man but we know he is in a better place now.

Grandpa Perry was the life of a party or the “party” at family gatherings. He loved being around his family tremendously. He had the ability to have a comeback for almost every conversation. You never knew what little pun and wit he had just waiting for the conversation, but you knew there would be one… followed by that smile and laugh you just knew he loved to show off. He made his presence known everywhere he went; local bars knew him by name, his favorite restaurants knew what he liked to order. His contagious smile, laugh and personality is what everyone who knew him will miss.
Music was a big part of his life, not only did he enjoy listening to music and moving his body to the music but it talked to his soul. I remember vividly driving with him in the car and he started singing “Don’t let no one , no one get you down! Cause if they do I'll be around”. I can close my eyes and see him singing and then smiling and laughing. He always had songs on his mind.
Grandpa Perry’s funeral expenses have been covered, however we are asking to help us gift him his last goodbye with music just how he would have loved it. We would like to honor him in this difficult time with a band that plays his favorite songs because we know that is something Grandpa Perry would have wanted.
