Celebrating the Life of Tyler Bertolero

With deep sadness, we are sharing the news that our dear friend, Sara Bertolero, lost her 17-year-old son, Tyler, unexpectedly on July 18th. While returning from a family vacation, Tyler passed away suddenly due to a genetic heart condition that was unknown to the family. There is some comfort in knowing that his passing was instant and pain-free, but his death has left Sara and her family reeling in shock while navigating the anguish of losing a phenomenal, larger-than-life, and seemingly healthy young son.

Tyler looked forward to being a senior at South Medford High School this Fall. In addition to blessing friends and family with his witty sense of humor, deep kindness, and herculean personality, Tyler had a passion for reading, watching movies, gaming, and showing off his awesome culinary skills. He possessed a deep love for his family, his friends, and his dogs.

We have started a GoFundMe donation campaign to assist with easing the financial burden of Tyler’s final resting expenses and upcoming Celebration of Life service (date TBA). Sara has been an advocate for hundreds of children in her long teaching career in our local community. Please consider reciprocating that loving support for our dear friend and her family in their present time of need by donating to or sharing this page.
