Celebration of Life- Christian Perez

My little brother, Christian, was murdered this past Sunday, April 10th, 2022, leaving behind his loved ones and 4-year old daughter. He was only 23-years old.

My little brother was the center of my family. His unconditional love, ability to forgive, and jokester antics kept my family together despite the distance between us at times. He called or texted his family and closest friends every day; it didn't have to be anything significant; he just wanted to hear their voices and make sure they knew they were loved. No one enjoyed having fun more than my little brother. Whether it was a party, a BBQ, or simply hanging out on the couch at a friend's house, he was that charismatic, fun figure everyone gravitated to.

I may refer to him as my little brother, but he was a big brother to me in many ways. When we were younger, he often comforted me and put what I wanted first. So even though it was his Christmas gift, it may have been something small as letting me play Spiderman on the Playstation first. Other times, it was taking the blame for something I did so that I wouldn't get in trouble. I remember how small and cuddly he was. Before he grew up to be so much taller and bigger than me, he was my little brother who wanted to snuggle up and watch Scooby-Doo with me.

Christian was the best little brother anyone could ever want, for many reasons, but one reason beyond all the others:

No matter how many times you wronged him, no matter what pain you may have caused... he forgave you and loved you like nothing ever happened. His love was pure.
