Celebration of Life- Elisa De La Vega
Donation protected
My mother, Elisa, lost her life suddenly and unexpectedly on June 1st, 2020. She is leaving behind her three sons, grandchildren and fiance Sean. She was just 52 years old.
With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings financial burdens as she did not have any life insurance. Our goal is to raise money to help with any costs that will occur and to help wherever it is needed. We are asking for any amount of donation in order to pay for funeral expenses and to help honor her wish to be laid to rest aside her father in Texas.
Obituary:
Elisa De La Vega, age 52, passed away in her home on June 1st, 2020. She was born on October 9th, 1967 to Rufino and Lisa De La Vega.
Elisa loved to work on cars and really enjoyed being a mechanic for most of her life. She loved cooking and being in the kitchen making her famous rice. Her dream was to open her own Auto Body Shop or Restaurant one day. Elisa loved going to the Casino and one day hoped to hit it big to be able to buy all of her loved ones their own homes so everyone could be close together. She was a very spiritual person.
She took extreme pride in her grandchildren. She loved to have sleepovers and movie nights with them. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing but only to catch and release.
Elisa is survived by her mother; sisters, Annette Escobar, Elizabeth Gonzales, and Brenda De La Vega; three sons, Aurelio (Roy), Mark and Sergio; grandchildren, Emily Hughes-Cortes, Antonio Cortes, Eli Cortes, Rayna Cortes and Oliver Cortes, as well as nieces and nephews. Survivors also include her fiancé Sean Melbourne and pets Draco, Mau, and Isis.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Elisa will forever be remembered by family and friends as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
