Celebration of Life For Alexis McKoy
Donation protected
Alexis was a beloved mother, noona, daughter, sister, niece and friend. So many of us have been blessed by her life (some of my favorite memories are heart to heart talks, taking selfies, her angelic voice, love for her children and good sense of humor). There are countless more treasured memories that we all have shared.
Alexis was diagnosed in January 2020, with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer that spread to bones and lungs. She passed away in Texas on May 4, 2020 due to complications from blood clots. We are heartbroken that we were unable to be by her side due to COVID-19 hospital restrictions. She was unable to continue to work due to her illness. Insurance will not pay out.
We draw hope from Alexis' trust in Jesus. When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be.
In our care, she leaves (Asia ,17), (Isaiah 13) and (LaRain 3). This next chapter is certainly not an easy one but we want to show particular love and care for her babies. One way we can all do this is by raising funds toward her funeral costs and the children's future expenses. A funeral can cost upwards of $10,000 and there will be additional travel expenses to bring her from Texas for her funeral and burial in North Carolina.
Please consider coming alongside the McKoy's during this time by making a monetary donation.
As her aunt and great aunt of her children, additional funds not used by funeral and burial expenses will go towards the children's next steps.
