Celebration of life for April Wier

On June 5th, 2023 April passed away after a 5 year battle with Ovarian cancer. Although each day with the illness was a battle, she had a way of making it look graceful. Through chemo and treatment she still found the time to be there for her loved ones.

April touched the lives of many with her kindness, infectious laughter, sense of humor, and unyeilding love and acceptance of all. She always went above and beyond for everyone, and as we grieve this loss we would love to be able to provide her with the celebration of life that she deserves, and lay her to rest in the way she requested.

UPDATE: On July 30th, 2023 we will be hosting a celebration of life for her once we receive her ashes. She was always the light of the party and it would not feel right to celebrate without her present. We are also working to arrange her ashes being placed at the cemetery of her choice. Every contribution or share will make a difference in ensuring that this happens.

Over the last week we have gained some new information. Liz and Michael have informed us that Battle Creek Cellars has been kind enough to offer their venue for the event. They have also had the rest of the event covered by donations. There has been an event with more details posted on her Facebook page.

As for Aprils cremation and interment, we are looking at $2,220. The family is still trying to sort other financial aspects reguarding the house and medical bills. If anything extra is raised for the memorial service, the money will go towards that first. Then towards April's pup Paco whom she loved like a son.
