Celebration of life for Devynn Malachi Shannon
Donation protected
On Friday, February 28th, our family received news that rocked us to our core. Our beloved Devynn passed away in the early morning on his 27th birthday.
Devynn leaves behind his 7 year old son Parker, his parents, his sister and brother and so many family members and friends who loved him deeply.
As the news started to reach across the country, words of love and mentions of the way Devynn touched peoples lives poured in. His infectious smile and warm welcome to everyone he encountered makes it easy to understand why he'll be missed so much. He had an amazing talent for finding the good in every person, and he was always available for a deep conversation about astrology, or conspiracies or just the different hardships in life.
In true Devynn fashion when the insomnia would strike he would connect with so many others while he enjoyed epic game sessions. At Devynn's core was his connection to music, every time he shared a piece of music with you he was sharing a piece of his soul with you as well.
As a young single father the costs being incurred for the service and cremation fall to his family he leaves behind and we are asking for help with these costs. The funds will be used to pay for Devynn's cremation and memorial service. It would be helpful to provide these funds by March 13th, and any and all contributions are greatly appreciated.
All are welcome to join us at:
Kern Funeral Home

Mt. Vernon, WA 98273
For viewing:
Thursday March 5th from 3p-5p please feel free to also bring a memento or any of his favorite things, to send him off with.
