Help Mackenzie’s Family After Her Sudden Passing

Donation protected
It is with sadness that I write to inform you of the death of our beloved Mackenzie Tannehill. Mackenzie passed away suddenly on the morning of November 21st surrounded by Alisha, Ken and her younger brother Bremner following a short but severe illness. In life Kenzie was adored and cherished by her family, classmates, and teachers. She was a free spirit who thoroughly enjoyed nature and the outdoors. She loved to read and almost always had a book in her hand. She loved life and had the most fun and playful spirit. She was always compassionate and loving to animals. She was beautiful on the outside too and a talented artist.

Having been contacted by many family and friends of the Allison’s and Tannehill’s a GoFundMe has been set up for those wanting to contribute to the needs, expenses and bereavement surrounding Kenzies illness and passing. It is our hope that by alleviating the financial stress the families are currently experiencing, they can focus on their immense grief, healing and memory of their sweet Kenzie. Any funds generated will be directed towards incoming costs of Kenzie’s hospital stay and funeral. Any residual funds will be directed towards caring for her loved ones as they begin the healing process. Any funds beyond that will be to develop a legacy/memorial of Kenzie over time.  It is heartbreaking for a parent to bury a young daughter, or for a middle schooler to lose a classmate, or for a grandparent to say goodbye to their young granddaughter.

As we all come to terms with the loss of Kenzie, I know I have felt helpless and unsure of how to best support my dear friend during this difficult time. I’ve taken comfort in knowing that Mackenzie is at peace in heaven now and we can best honor her by caring for those she loved and cherished. With that in mind, Ken and Alisha and Kif have expressed how grateful they are for all the prayers, love, kind words and support they’ve received. They want to remind everyone to hug and kiss their children and to be thankful for every day you are given with your family.  The family respectfully asks for privacy during this impossibly difficult time as they grieve for their beautiful girl.

Thank you so very much for prayers, love, and support.
