Celebration of Life for Michelle Gurlides Damone

With great heartbreak I am writing today to inform everyone that my beautiful mother passed away the evening of Saturday March 4th, surrounded by family. She peacefully relinquished her battle and leaned into the arms of our heavenly Father.

Mom selflessly poured her heart and soul daily into the community. She wanted to make people happier, more courageous, confident and free. I can't even begin to list every organization she was involved in, but if it was for the greater good of the people in her community, I can confidently say mom was all in and hands on.

Cancer struck my fearless mother quickly and aggressively. She stood tall and looked that diagnosis in the face and said bring it... maybe with a few extra choice words sprinkled in.

Cancer took a lot of earthly things from my mother but her faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior were never shaken. Unfortunately, this brutal disease made it quite burdensome for mom to continue working. With that said, she depleted her savings quite hastily and couldn’t leave behind the means she desired too. Nevertheless, I want to throw mom a celebration of life worthy of her tremendous legacy.

I am humbly asking for donations to assist with the costs associated with her passing. The funds raised will help cover bills accrued from the funeral home and the cost of her celebration of life. Any surplus will be appropriately dispersed amongst her son Matthew, daughter Marissa, and beloved grandson Michael. To help them move forward and continue to improve their lives and the lives of others with the goal of carrying on mom's legacy and ultimately to make mom proud!

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. With that, I want to encourage everyone to wear bright and vibrant colors to her celebration. Mom was a unique and extraordinary human and requested a true celebration of her life, nothing close to a traditional funeral. Her celebration of life will be held on March 21st at 2pm at Christ Fellowship`s South Campus 5312 Northlake Blvd Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418.

Many thanks to everyone who encouraged my mom over this last year, I sincerely appreciate each one of you as I know she did as well. For you are all not just friends, but family!
