Celebration of Life: Gage Michael Schwarck

On Wednesday Dec 13, 2023 Gage Michael Schwarck passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home. His family and friends remember him as a loving, kindhearted young man. He was sensitive, caring, and always concerned about other people’s wellbeing before his own. He cherished time with his family, especially his father who also passed away suddenly this year. He loved every friend he had like family. Beginning in childhood, he was an animal lover and considered his pets to be his furry family members. Gage enjoyed playing video games and fishing. He and his father had a special “secret” spot where they caught trout. He loved listening to music and was an Iowa Hawkeye fanatic. He most enjoyed watching the games with his father. Gage’s heart touched so many lives, from family to friends to co-workers. He will be deeply missed by all.

We created this GoFundMe campaign to help support Gage’s mother in covering the costs of his cremation and celebration of life expenses by seeking assistance from friends, family, and compassionate individuals. Losing a child, especially so young, is something that no one anticipates. More than anything, she wants to give Gage the peaceful homecoming he deserves, but also wants to ensure that Gage’s friends and family are able to say their last goodbyes.

A celebration of life for Gage will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, December 20th at Merle Hay Chapel located at 4400 Merle Hay Rd in Des Moines, IA.
