Celebration of Life - Julio C. Mejia
Donation protected
Julio C. Mejia was a lung transplant recipient who was gifted a second chance at life with a lung transplant in 2014. At only 65 years young, the lord took him away from us on May, 18 2020 from complications due to Covid 19, but not without Julio letting it be known he wanted to live.
Julio was so devoted to his faith and his second chance at life that he named his new lung Angel. Julio was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, a patriarch who was looked upon for his wisdom, his sense of humor and the love he shared with his friends and family. Julio was always upbeat, optimistic and generous, making a positive impact that touched the lives of so many.
He was a skilled Welder and Ironworker by trade, but a pulmonary fibrosis lung illness from the many years of working with steel left him dependent on oxygen to breathe. Our family was gifted another six years of life with Julio and his lung transplant, which we cherished with him and hold dear in our hearts.
The donations raised will support his memorial costs incurred by his wife, Julia Mejia.
