Celebration of Life - Linda Burroughs

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this today. After a long fight with Alzheimer’s, "Big" Linda Burroughs passed away peacefully, surrounded by her son (Larry), daughter (Linda) & loved ones on Monday, February 6th, 2023.

As some of you may already know Linda has been taking care of her mom, also Linda, for several years now since Linda's father passed away unexpectedly in 2018. For those of you who know the Linda's, you know their bond was something very special. Before "Big" Linda was unable to get around as frequently, you'd find her at the beach partying it up with us or sitting at a table cheering Linda & her team on while shooting pool.

Linda took care of her mom better than anyone ever could. I’ve personally watched Linda sacrifice many things over the years that most of us take for granted every day. Linda dedicated 24 hours – 7 days a week to taking care of her mom. They survived solely on SSD benefits which will no longer be available to Linda & leaving her and Larry with the burden of trying to figure out funeral costs for their mother, as well as, maintaining Linda & Larry’s childhood home where Linda has lived while taking care of her mom. Linda will need time to get her affairs in order before she will be able to go back into the workforce so that she is financially stable again to be able to stay in her home.

Linda and Larry face many other obstacles moving forward now and coming up with the finances for a funeral service should not be one of them. So I ask for everyone’s help, no contribution is too big or too small. Let’s show the Burroughs Family how much love & support they are surrounded by during this very difficult time.
