Celeste's passion in life was helping others. Unfortunately, Celeste died in an automobile accident on October 20, 2006 at the young age of 25.  With her passing, the Celeste Thompson Memorial Scholarship was created at Lee University to honor her and to help others achieve their dream of a college education in a Christian environment. To mirror Celeste's path, this endowment Scholarship helps young women that are pursuing Education or Nursing degrees at Lee University.   To date, the Scholarship has awarded over $25,000 to Lee students.  The Scholarship is yet another way that Celeste's passion of helping others will continue forever.
