Help Celia & Jory recover from their devastating loss.

On April 2nd, 2025, Celia and Jory’s world was turned upside down when a devastating fire destroyed their home. Even more heartbreaking, they lost their beloved boys, Goose and Bear.

Returning home to see flames and smoke pouring from their home was every person’s worst nightmare. Without hesitation and driven by love, Celia rushed in to save their dogs. Tragically, she was only able to pull their limp bodies from the home. Goose, a 1½-year-old Golden Retriever, was barely breathing, while Bear, a 4-year-old Norwegian Elkhound, was not. Despite heroic efforts by Celia and the veterinary team, Bear could not be revived and succumbed to the smoke inhalation.

Goose was in critical condition and spent in excess of 24 hours on life support. Unfortunately, the damage from smoke inhalation was too severe, and he passed away shortly thereafter. The costs for emergency veterinary care and treatment amounted to over $9,000, all in an effort to save these two cherished family members.

For those who know Celia and Jory, you know how deeply they loved their dogs. Anyone with a pet understands the immense bond we share with our animals, and how they become an integral part of the family.

In one day, Celia and Jory lost not only their two best friends, they lost their home and personal belongings . Their insurance coverage is limited and does not extend to emergency housing.

As they grieve the unimaginable loss of Goose and Bear, Celia and Jory are now faced with the challenge of rebuilding their lives from the ground up. The funds raised through this campaign will help cover the veterinary bills for their beloved dogs and assist with emergency housing and essential needs as they begin to pick up the pieces.
