Celia's Campaign For Just Us Girls

Although a double mastectomy was not on my agenda for 2018, now that it is behind me I find myself feeling grateful.

I am grateful it was found early

I am grateful I have access to a fantastic medical team

I am grateful I have excellent insurance

I am grateful I work for a company that is supportive and encouraging

I am grateful for the support and love of my family

I am grateful for the sarcastic wit, humor and support of my friends – near and far

I am grateful for my 3 little kitty nurses who keep me smiling and laughing

I am grateful I am back in NJ, as dealing with all of this is logistically much easier on this coast

I am grateful to all my personal trainers throughout the years (you know who you are!) as having a strong core has made this whole recovery process a lot easier!

I am grateful because of all of the above I know I can handle whatever treatment remains

I am grateful to have many more years of limiting my Facebook future posts to Asbury, wine, cats and giving back.

Not everyone is as lucky as me – please help me provide support for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and who need a little more support than their network can provide. Just Us Girls is a non-profit who raises money to assist families impacted by cancer in Monmouth and Ocean County NJ who could benefit from a little more support – whether it is rides to/from the doctors or help with a bill or anything in between.
